The course at Golf du château de Maintenon weaves it’s way around the château de Maintenon grounds, crisscrossing it’s many canals and ponds. Running through the heart of the course are the towering remains of a 16th century aqueduct built—but never finished—for Louis XIV to transport water to the fountains of Versailles.
