Golf d’Auch Embats
The creation of the golf Embats Auch is the result of a passion for this beautiful region.
In 1969, an optician, owner of a typically hilly land 5 km from the city centre, decided to promote this exceptional site and built the first three holes of a golf course.
Later, around 1986, under the pressure of demand, the construction of a true 18 hole course is decided and the area is extended to 50 ha. With the development of a scenic driving range at the end of 89, the current course is completed, all complemented by a lift to facilitate access to No. 18 green and club house.
Today the course matures and attracts many visitors, as the reporter for Paris Match magazine in June 1996, who wrote: “one of the most typical courses of the deep south”. Nicely drawn in five valleys richly wooded in this idyllic setting you feel the softness of Gascony.
This course offers an exceptional variety of shots where the length and accuracy alternate constantly.
The clubhouse itself, perched on a promontory, deserves a visit. The Pyrenees Mountains can be admired from the terrace.
