Whispering Oaks Golf Club offers a 9 hole layout 20 minutes north of Grand Forks just off I-29 to the west.
It’s a reversible golf course which can be played backwards, in effect creating two nine hole layouts, the Pioneer and Settler’s nines. The layout is tricky with Turtle River winding its way through the course and coming into play quite often. The fairways are narrow and lined by trees with the greens typically quick and undulating.
The course was designed by Joel Goldstand in 1993 and from the tips for 18 holes is 6,357 yards, 70.6/126, course/slope ratings with two shorter tees.
Note that the club is open from April to the end of September
