Located near Old Forge, NY, Thendara Golf Club is a beautiful 18 hole, Par 72 championship golf course. The original Donald Ross designed front nine was constructed in 1921 and the back nine, designed by Russell Bailey, was completed in 1956. Beauty and wildlife abound wherever you look in this picturesque Adirondack setting. The course is meticulously maintained, and the greens, surrounded by typical Donald Ross bunkering, are undulating and quick; some of the more interesting you may ever play. With its plush grasses, meticulously maintained greens and fairways, this course is a pleasure, no matter what your level of play is. The course will take you down doglegs, past sand traps, onto elevated and rolling greens and through some very unique Adirondack beauty.
The course has been played played by Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Lee Trevino, Chi Chi Rodriguez and a number of other famous golfers.
