Amidst the pristine beauty of Central New York is picturesque Cazenovia Country Club, a private 18-hole championship golf course. For over 50 years Cazenovia Country Club has grown and matured into a demanding yet fair course that tests every level of player.
The club’s facilities include a clubhouse complete with grille room, restaurant, locker rooms, and an expansive deck overlooking the course, a Pro Shop, a practice range, and offers golf instruction. The spacious driving range, putting/chipping green and practice bunker provides ideal opportunities to sharpen your skills and improve your game. A pool area offers supervised swimming as well as beginner and advanced swim lessons.
The course consists of six Par 3’s, seven Par 4’s and five Par 5’s and plays to a maximum distance of 6325 yards with a course rating of 70.1 and a slope of 124 over 18 holes. The pond comes into play on three holes, and it makes the Par 3 8th hole an island like green. Beyond aesthetics, the pond provides an abundant water source for the irrigation system.
Signature hole : 18th, Par 5. This is a risk/reward hole. From the tee, you see trees left, right and straight ahead. In addition, there is a left-side fairway bunker. To stay out of trouble, fairway is the best place to be on 18. Your approach shot will be challenged by 4 ponds and 2 bunkers. Pin placement depends on the mood of the golf course staff.
