Real Club Sevilla Golf boasts one of Europe’s best courses. Designed by Jose Maria Olazabal, this challenging course of wide fairways and numerous bunkers is held in high esteem by amateurs and professionals alike.
This fantastic golf course, rated the Top 10 golf courses in Spain was the host course of the 2004 World Cup of Golf, the 2008, 2010 & 2012 Spanish Opens and the 2009 Andalusian Open.
The course is a par 72 and measures 6,529 meters. Its highly balanced design makes it an excellent venue for any high-level competition, be it amateur or professional.
The course covers an area of 61 Ha. and boasts over 10,000 trees belonging to many different species, most of them native. Spectacular bunkers and four lakes covering more than three hectares make it a pleasant and challenging course. The strategically placed lakes surround many holes on the course, lowering the temperature and adding to the course’s charm.
Sevilla is a testing layout, which belies its initial flat and open aspect. If you can get close to the pins on these smallish greens then you might card a decent score. In fact, this easy walking and understated course is all about a sharp short game but naturally you’ll need to find the fairways in order to give yourself a chance with your approach shots.
The signature hole is certainly the Hole 12th. A Par 4 of 347 meters.
There is also a driving range sown with Bermuda 419 – as are the fairways. Next to the practice ground are the large putting and chipping greens, with gradients similar to those found on the course’s greens. A range of sport, leisure and children’s offers are also available to visitors, so that everyone can feel comfortable here.
