GKG golf Iceland is a 27 holes resort just 10 minutes out of Reykjavík centrum and is easily accessable. The Leirdalur is a 18 hole championship golf course played as 6.000 meters long par 71 and is a great test for all level of golfers. The 9 hole golf course which tests players with lakes and bunkers is designed as a easy walk and not so long course (around 2.400 m from back tees), so offers great fun and is ideal for a quick and fun 9 hole round.
GKG golf course is designed by the only Swede (Jan Sederholm) that has designed a golf course in Iceland and was redesigned by an Icelander Andrés Guðmundsson when GKG golf course extended their holes to 27 holes. Himmerland golf corse in Denmark played on the European tour 2014-15 is among courses that Jan Sederholm has designed.
The Leirdalur is one of the most diverse golf courses in Iceland and a great way to experience golf in Iceland. We especially recommend you experience Midnight golf.
The clubhouse is comfortable, a café offering hot and cold meal and bar. Opening hours for the café is from 8:00 o’clock in the morning to 22:00 o´clock in the evening. The Pro Shop is located in the clubhouse.
The club has a driving range about 400 m from the club house, and a first rate practise green.
