Slovenia
The golf courses of Slovenia are among the most beautiful in Europe. They are set in typical landscapes on the edge of the Pannonian Plain, among vineyards and rolling hills, below Alpine summits, and in the idyllic karst landscape. Due to the short distances within Slovenia, you can reach most of the golf clubs from Ljubljana within one hour. So if you want to golf in Slovenia don't hesitate to spend a week in this beautiful country. Slovene golf history dates back to the 1930s. In those days, the sport was the preserve of the Yugoslav Royal family and visiting gentry with the game focused intently on Bled. The Golf Association of Slovenia was founded in 1992 and there are currently more than a dozen 9-hole and 18-hole Slovene golf courses, with a growing local interest in the Royal & Ancient game.
