Beau Pre Golf Club is located in Northern California’s beautiful Humboldt County. Redwood National Park and Six Rivers National Forest neighbor the towns of McKinleyville, Blue Lake, Ferndale, Fortuna, Eureka, Arcata and Trinidad, which are all a short drive from McKinleyville. The Pacific coastline provides a spectacular landscape for this challenging 18 hole championship golf course.
Pine and spruce trees line most of the fairways on both the mountainous and meadow portions of this course requiring precision placement shots. Water comes into play on nine holes and sand traps are strategically placed at Beau Pre Golf Club. The view of the ponds, lush fairways and the Pacific Ocean from the elevated golf holes make Beau Pre an esthetically pleasing course to play in addition to testing your golf skills.
McKinleyville is famous for the World´s Tallest Totem Pole, located right in the center of town. The totem pole weighs 57,000 lbs and is 160 feet high. It was carved from one redwood tree. McKinleyville has the Azalea Reserve with beautiful native azaleas in bloom in the spring. Clam Beach and Little River State Beach provide clamming, driftwood, and an opportunity to relax with the surf. The Victorian village of Fernadale is located 30 miles south of McKinleyville. Just north is the famous fishing resort town of Trinidad.
In addition to deep water angling for salmon, lingcod, and bottom fish, the outdoorsman can also try his hand at surf fishing and crabbing.
