Donnington Valley golf club is one of the most challenging golf courses in Berkshire – a challenging 6296 yards, 18 hole, par 71 from the white tees. Although some of the holes are quite forgiving the closing four holes are regarded as one of the toughest finishes in the country, with water featuring prominently on 15th, 16th and 17th holes.
Hole 15 is a testing par-5 measuring at 616 yards from the back tees. The hole is a dogleg right with water lurking down the left hand side of the green. Two good shots are required to put you in position for your third shot to the green. The Club features tree lined fairways and slick putting surfaces, guarded by deep bunkers.
The clubhouse, Snelsmore House, offers golfers exceptional golfing and social facilities. It is a Grade II listed Victorian building with magnificent views over the 9th and 18th greens.
Donnington Valley Golf Course is widely regarded as a hidden gem.
