Gerrards Cross golf club’s course is set in parkland with extensive woodland areas.  Beech and oak trees, characteristic in this area of Buckinghamshire, feature on many holes and as you can imagine the course is particularly attractive in Spring and Autumn.

The Course measures 6,243 yards from the white tees with one par 5 and four par 3s.  With a par of 69 the course provides a good test of golf, confirmed by a SSS of 71 (after a re-assessment early in 2012).  Accuracy is the key!

The views across the Misbourne valley from the elevated tees at the 2nd and 18th tees are a delight.  The final three holes et Gerrards Cross Golf Club are particularly picturesque and a delight to play,  the 18th  a memorable and testing dog leg  hole.  A well-placed drive is required to set up  a long downhill second shot over the River Misbourne which runs across the  course a few yards from  the green.  Reaching the last  green safely in two shots would be the highlight of any visit.

All four of the Par 3’s are different in character.  The 5th, 13th and 16th require a tee shot that carries to the green to take the rough and bunkers out of play.  The 8th is a little more forgiving however not one of them can be taken for granted.  Anyone carding a routine par on three of the four holes will walk off the course very content.

The 7th hole at 531yds is the only par 5 on the course, a right angled dog leg at about 230 yards prevents all but very long hitters reaching the green in two shots.

Note that golfers with a valid handicap are welcome to play the course on weekdays throughout the year. During the weekends, the course is only for members and their guests
