Only about 20 km from capital city of Slovenia, situated in a pictoresque and hilly landscape, lies Golf Arboretum Ljubljana. Course is only 20 minutes from city center of Ljubljana and is easily accesable from different parts of the country including tourist centres like Bled, Bohinj, Kranjska gora. Even Portoroz is only an hour and a half drive away.
The 18-hole Golf Arboretum Ljubljana course is one of the most versatile and beautiful in Slovenia. Placed into versatile landscape, it is known for diverse golf challenges and beautiful surroundings with Slovenian mountains adding to the calm atmosphere of the place.
The Course is not the longest golf course in Slovenia since it stretches only 5.452 m from the furthest teeing grounds but its level of difficulty (CR 139) implicates you will have an entertaining and diverse game.
The course is set out in the middle of a pine forest, next to the Volčji Potok Arboretum, the most visited botanical park in Slovenia. Lightly bunkered holes are routed across a pleasantly undulating landscape with several of the fairways leading to water-protected greens. With only three par fives on the card, the course extends to a modest 5,452 metres.
The 336-metre 7th is rated the toughest hole on the card, doglegging down and left to a green that sits behind a couple of small ponds. On the back nine, the 430-metre 12th is another feature hole, playing uphill and left from the tee before levelling out then plunging back down across a wetland area to a long, offset green.
