Barrière Saint-Julien, golf club,
Opened in 1989, the golf Barrière de Saint Julien is situated in the very heart of the pays D’auge in Normandy, a few minutes from the centre of Pont-l’Evêque. Architects Alain Pratt and Bill Baker designed two courses that are entirely British in spirit.
Le Vallon is a championship course where numerous pools snake their way treacherously along the fairways and greens. It offers magnificent views over a typical Normandy environment of apple trees in flower, like a gourmet postcard. Le Bocage, named for the quality of its landscape, is a course established for less experienced players. So there is something for everyone in this magnificently maintained 90-hectare environment. The ideal place to learn golf (practice, pitching range, putting green), an academy offers numerous training options all year round, for all sections of the public. Its club house, designed by the illustrious architect Jacques Garcia, dominates the area and is open to the exterior through its large bay windows. Its numerous rooms make it an ideal location for weddings and seminars
