The picturesque village of Alvaneu is located in the Swiss canton of Grisons. It is located between Chur and Sankt Moritz, about 30 kilometers from Chur and 50 from Sankt Moritz. The attractions include the sulfur bath in Alvaneu Bad and the Golf Club Alvaneu Bad, which was founded in the year 1995 near the bath. The course is 950 meters above sea level.
The golf club has an 18-hole-course, which was skillfully integrated into the existing landscape by Mario Verdieri. The course runs across two different types of terrain: the front nine are located in a river landscape surrounded by an old tree population, the back nine, however, are located in a park landscape. The terrain of the athletically challenging course is overall flat and has water hazards, while existing streams are combined into lakes and used as water hazards.
Visitors are always welcome at the Golf Club Alvaneu Bad, but it is required to register and own a club card with a registered PE. Softspikes are recommended on the course, GPS devices are permitted. Equipment, which includes clubs, electric carts, trolleys, and electric trolleys, is available for hire at the pro shop. The practice possibilities are broad, putting greens and chipping greens as well as chipping greens and practice bunkers are available. The driving range includes 15 range tees, among them 6 covered tees. At the golf school Westing Golf GmbH, which is connected to the golf club Alvaneu Bad, golf lessons are given.
