The history of Golf & Country Club Wallenried begins with Fredric Horn initiative to take steps to build a golf course in Wallenried, on a 80 hectare land leased to the foundation of Castella. This Par-72 course, located in the heart of Freiburg’s Seeland, combines quietness, relaxation, challenge and fun. Its varied holes, its large greens and demanding water hazards, its bunkers, its habitat and its open often windy fairways, reminding a classic Scottish links style golf course, require each player alternating power and accuracy.
At Golf & Country Club Wallenried the welcoming country style clubhouse features a large terrace directly on the double green of holes #9 and #18 and offers spectators a breathtaking view of the golfers, the course and the magnificent panorama of the Alps.
