Golf de la Vaucouleurs is situated near the Yvelines department less than 1 hour drive from Paris.
The Golf de la Vaucouleurs offers 2 golf courses : Les Vallons et La Rivière.
Les Vallons is a flat and relatively short course, with a slope of 121 (white and blue tees) for a Par 70. The Valleys course is ranked among the 30 best French courses.
This is a kind of seaside golf, without the sea. For Scottish Links lovers as Carnoustie and Muirfield, where the wind and the roughs are the main difficulties of the course.
La Rivière :
The maintained roughs, unlike its terrible neighbor Les Vallons, make the course less complicated. Here the traps, as the name suggests are water obstacles (No. 4-11-13) and especially the length (six by five!). There are also 5 by 3, where the iron game must be particularly precise, for a par 73 of 5608 m. The 11 and 13 with frontal water and relatively little space to pose the ball are challenges alone. A nice wooden bridge separates the two holes.
