Designed in 1986 by architects Fromanger and Adam, the Moulins les Avenelles golf is located a few miles from Moulins in Allier, between the Auvergne volcanoes and the Loire River Valley. In a hedgerow in the middle of a network of ponds, this hilly 9-hole course, is suitable for beginners and experienced golfers. The narrow greens are well protected by small strategically placed bunkers. Several holes are lined with relatively close out of bounds. Water is also present on several holes, mainly on two holes where the access to the green has to be done through a shot over a pond. The general atmosphere of golf is particularly friendly and the golf restaurant allows the continuation of a round around a drink or a meal. Several open to all competitions are held throughout the year.
