SAINT-GERMAIN GOLF COURSE,
One of the nearest golf club to the heart of Paris (30km only), the Golf de Saint Germain is located in the forest of Saint-Germain, and is considered as one of France’s finest courses. Its current location dates back to 1920 and offers 2 courses (18 holes and 9 holes) spread out on 183 acres, designed by famous English architect Harry S. Colt.
The club was founded in 1902 when it was originally known as the Golf de l’Ermitage and was located nearby alongst the Seine. Annual flooding were a major problem, and in 1920 the Comitee decided to move to a dryer land and selected the current site in the woods of St Germain.

The original buildings (club house, locker rooms, etc.) were disassembled and rebuilt in St Germain, but among all these wooden buildings the only remainnig one is the locker rooms. A huge fire destroyed the original club house in 1952, and the “new” club house has replaced the building since then.
