The Blue course at Golf de Saint Quentin en Yvelines:
This course is very long and straightforward course is great for long hitters on the first 11 holes with its wide fairways and scenic hills. It quickly turns into an “Amen Corner” from #12 to #15 with the proximity of the woods and out of bounds.
Significant changes made in 2006 provide new visual environment to the course, with scenic hills, new raised and moved tees, and shadows and light shows. Tips for game: #13 is the second hole of the amen corner in St Quentin. After your tee shot, you must choose the right club to attack the 27 yard depth green.
For the hole #18: attention to the tee shot. The left out of bounds is very next to the fairway, better be cautious and land on the first fairway. The bunkers around the green can be disadvantageous.
The Red course at Golf de Saint Quentin en Yvelines:
The Red course requires accuracy and good tactical sense with its narrow holes and elevated greens. This technical course is a treat for lovers of short game
Significant changes made in 2006 provide new visual environment to the course, with scenic hills, three new holes, new raised and moved tees, shadows and light shows, and a route completely changed.
Tips of play: the #5, tee shot is important but you must keep left to keep the opening for the second shot. The elevated triple tray green will certainly give you a hard time. Sharpen your short game.
On #8, the length of this par 4 is the main challenge: a left sided tee shot will make it much easier for the second one. Anyway, care about the mounds on the left side.
