Golf de Saint Samson came to the picturesque village of Pleumeur-Bodou long before the hotel!! The course was conceived around 1963 and completed in 1965. Over the years it evolved from the original 9 holes, to the full 18, and with the developments came the Club House, Bar and Pro Shop.
This golf course in Brittany has a particular and unique charm, based in Pleumeur-Bodou in the Côtes d’Armor, in the heart of the Pink Granit Coast.
In easy reach of Lannion, Trégastel, Trébeurden, Perros-Guirec and Ploumanac’h.
This beautifully-balanced course was designed in 1963 by the British Master architects Hawtree & Son, and was inaugurated in 1965. Each hole, well-distanced from the others, has its own visual identity and original character, offering a great diversity of situations and shots to be taken.
With 18 truly distinct holes to play, you’ll enjoy and ongoing challenge!
Each hole needs to be examined carefully to be played to your best advantage. There are no climbs or rises to wear you out, only beautiful fairways extending over gentle slopes for a total of 5 743m (from the back-tees) for a par of 71.
Extremely well designed and not exhausting, the course doesn’t penalise good shots, and even leaves room to make up for any less-than-perfect shots, as the rough is perfectly playable. Its slopes mean that on a good day you can seriously lower your handicap. Once you’ve left the werm and sporting atmosphere of Breton woodland, where you half-expect to see mythical creatures around every corner…
Golf de Saint Samson was listed by Brittany Golf Club’s quality charter as one of the most beautiful 18-hole courses in Brittany.
