At the edge of this forest, and classified among the most beautiful golf courses in France, is the club of “Golf de Troyes-la Cordelière”, previously the property of the Counts of Chandon de Briailles. Its 18 hole-course rolls over a vast carpet of gently undulating greenery, dotted with water features and ancient trees.
With its par 72 approved course over 5896 meters, the Cordelière entices as much by the diversity and severity of its natural obstacles, as by the magnificence and the beauty of its environment.
The opening hole is a relatively easy par 5: a good wide fairway (even if it is better to be placed towards the left of the fairway). The 2nd shot should ideally be placed between the left bunker and the chestnut tree on the right-hand side.
