Golf du Touquet – The 18-hole La Mer Course:
A typical British links course built in 1931 by the renowned architect Harry Colt and ranked as one of the best 100 courses in Europe. It hosted the French Open on numerous occasions during the 1970’s. Superbly sculpted within the dunes, reminiscent of a Scottish links, La Mer Course has been Le Touquet’s crowning glory for more than 60 years. Located in Hauts de France region, La Mer is a classic links course that winds its way between the coastal dunes and rough grasses. With wonderful sea views from elevated tees, formidable bunkering, huge dunes and fast but firm greens, La Mer is perhaps one of the best true links course in France and it can proudly hold its head high alongside some of its regal neighbours which lie on the opposite side of the English Channel.
Golf du Touquet – The 18-hole La Forêt Course:
Horace Hutchinson originally designed the La Forêt course at Le Touquet and it opened for play in 1904. Set out in the heart of the superb pine forest of Le Touquet. Tranquil and peaceful, sheltered from the winds and offering players of all standards moments of pleasure and relaxation. La Forêt is set beautifully among pine trees which provides a calm and peaceful environment for all golfers whatever their handicap. It’s not as technically demanding as La Mer with wider fairways, but La Forêt has small and tricky greens which remain difficult targets to master. At a touch over 5,800 metres, this is not the longest course you may play but the par four 13th must be taken seriously as it measures 421 meters and, as on La Mer, no resting on laurels here!
Golf du Touquet – The 9-hole Manoir Course:
The 9 hole course is ideal for the beginner or for the golfer wishing to perfect his game. The Manoir is a course laid out within the Dunes and offers all the facets of the game of Golf.
