The design of Golf Park Mallorca Puntiró’s golf course is signed by the renown Nicklaus Design company. The philosophy is to highlight the course’s natural environment by creating fun and stimulating tours for players from all levels. Golf Park Mallorca Puntiró is an 18 holes course par 71, on an estate of around 165 acres.
The course has been designed according to the topography of the land, without alterations in the field. The natural vegetation composed of pines, wild olive trees, carob-trees and bushes have been accordingly taken care of in order to provide the player with the natural environment of the island. This, together with the absence of buildings along the course involve the player in an integral golf zone
Each and every hole at Golf Park Puntiró is varied from the next and each reaches out to every conceivable compass point. Two huge lakes make for serious excitement at 7, 8, 15 and 16 where some cunning Nicklaus risk and reward elements tempt you into potential watery graves. Measuring 6,714 yards from the back tees against a par of 71 makes for a serious challenge, but the course rarely feels long but rest assured, accuracy is far more important than length. The rough is most definitely rough, with rocky outcrops, plenty of stones and native vegetation lurking to thwart recovery shots. Hit the relatively generous fairways on this very good new Mallorcan layout and you may card a decent score.
Golf Park Mallorca Puntiró is for players with medium-high handicaps and is located just 10km along the Carretera de Sineu, or in other words, just ten minutes from Palma’s old town or 14km from the airport. It’s the perfect choice for the first or last round on the island.
