Krefelder Golf Club was founded in 1930 and is one of Germany’s most traditional clubs, borne out by the club motto “Living the traditions of golf”.

The origins of the city of Krefeld, which is located on the western banks of the River Rhein, date back to Roman times. The golf course is not an antiquity but Karl Hoffmann and Bernhard von Limburg laid out today’s course at Krefelder Golf Club in the late 1930s, so it is a relatively old fashioned layout by modern standards.

The topography of the land is relatively level with pleasant contours making for easy walking. With its tree-lined fairways and relatively modest 6,082-metre length, Krefelder requires accuracy rather than length from the tee, especially as more than half the holes on the course are doglegged in shape. The greens are slightly raised, well protected by bunkers and fairly small in size, so a good short game is required in order to master Krefelder.

Note that visitors are welcome Monday – Friday (except public holidays). Guests accompanied by a member are welcome every day.
