Lusaka Golf Club is Zambia’s premier golf club and attracts a cross section of the golfing nationalities. This 18 hole layout is a par 73 measuring 6608 meters. It is a parkland setting with an undulating manicured terrain, entwined by the clever use of swamps and dams. The water and sand traps features form an integral part of the course that gives challenge even to veteran top class golfers. The greens conform to the international standards and the fairways are flat, wide open and banked by large trees. Lusaka Golf Club has been the traditional home of the Zambia Open until 2005.
The back nine measures almost 500 metres longer than the outward half, thanks largely to a composition containing four par fives, including two of them played back-to-back at holes 13 and 14.
The Lusaka Golf Club is probably Zambia’s most famous sporting facility, attracting a good cross section of golfing nationalities to Zambia. There is a Pro Shop offering a wide array of golf equipment and accessories. Tourists and business travellers are welcome to visit for a round of golf.
