Midvale Country Club is a Private , 18 hole golf course located in Penfield , New York
Midvale Country Club golf course first opened for play in 1931. This course was designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr.
Midvale Country Club golf course was the first course designed and built start to finish by Mr. Jones. The course looks much like it did 75 years ago, but a few changes have been made. Many holes were renumbered, for example, today’s 6th hole was the original 1st hole and the original finishing hole is now the 2nd. Also, nearly 50 bunkers were removed in 1946.
The golf course plays a total of 6632 yards from the back tees. There’s a variety of length including par 3’s from 130 yards to 235 yards, par 4’s from 317 yards to 420 yards, and par 5’s from 444 yards to 544 yards. Greens and fairways are bent grass with rye grass in the rough. The greens are generally kept to a quick but comfortable 9′ on the Stimpmeter.
