Unique in design, stunning in scenery, abundant in amenities and painless in price Painted Woods Golf Course truly has it all. Situated in the rolling prairie of Western North Dakota, Painted Woods offers 5 sets of tees to allow golfers of all skill level a comfortable round. With Painted Woods creek meandering throughout the property coming into play on 11 holes and our famous rolling, multi-tiered greens an emphasis on accuracy is a must if one is looking to score well on this course.
Painted Woods Golf Course originally started as a picturesque nine hole course that opened in 1979. In 2014 with the support from the local communities of Washburn, Wilton and the endless devotion of the members Painted Woods expanded into the 18 hole hidden gem.
The par 71 course can be played on four sets of tees stretching from 4,964 to 6,976 yards. The expansion has created more playing room for golfers, reducing concerns that somebody might get plunked by a poorly-hit ball.
Painted Woods’ signature hole is No. 15, a par 4 with a sharp dog leg to the right. Painted Woods creek, which runs along the right-hand side, forms the dog leg.
Hole No. 7 is unique in the fact that it plays two greens, depending on the golfer’s level of difficulty.
The course also features a walking path for those who like to ride bicycle or take strolls.
