A good, unusual layout with a great mixture of holes. It’s a heathland course with a real links feel. Being built on chalk downs, it has no drainage problems. Greens are good. With two par 3s over 220 yards and a couple of driveable par 4s, no two holes are alike.The 225-yard 10th plays down a valley and is a great looking par-3. At 6042 yards Royston is per shot as long on average as most par 72s. The course will never cease to delight the enthusiastic golfer.
