At Els Club, the 18 hole course measures 7,538 yards from the tips, although in all there are five sets of tees allowing players of all standards a selection of different lengths in order to enjoy this great course to the full.
The course offers players a challenging round accompanied by all the essential facilities that extend beyond the immaculate fairways and greens.
This Ernie Els signature golf course is a ‘desert links’ with a natural look and feel; in essence, a combination of a links golf course and traditional ‘classical era’ design. It features broad and gently rolling fairways, steep greenside bunkers, grassy swales and imaginatively designed greens. The putting surfaces are fine-textured Bermuda grass, conducive to maintaining smooth, fast greens that are a joy to putt on all year round. Certain holes are inspired by personal favourite courses of Els (bunkers are based on Royal Melbourne and greens resemble Pinehurst in America).
The 60,000 sq ft clubhouse has a fantastic shop, two Els-themed restaurants, swish locker rooms and conferencing facilities. A massive driving range and various short game practise areas are there to help you work on your game. If you need extra help, look no further than the on-site Butch Harmon School of Golf instructors.
