TPC Tampa Bay is one of the most beautiful and exciting golf in Florida. Built by the PGA TOUR in 1991, the Bobby Weed designed 18-hole Par 71 resort course has earned a 4 ½ star rating from Golf Digest and was named one of the top five golf courses in Florida by Florida Golf Magazine. Home of 21 consecutive Champions Tour events, the stunning course winds through natural wetlands, cypress heads and lagoons, providing the perfect backdrop for outstanding golf. The masterfully designed course is meant to challenge the top golfers of the world, but also to provide a challenging and fun experience for players of all abilities.

TPC Tampa Bay is widely considered the best public access golf course in the Tampa Bay area. The course is routed around natural wetlands, cypress heads and numerous ponds and lagoons, which are home to an abundance of wildlife. Deer, foxes, otters, armadillos, alligators, egrets, storks, cranes, blue heron, and eagles all inhabit the golf course. This natural setting and wildlife variety is the reason why TPC Tampa Bay is one of the only two courses in the Tampa Bay area to be designated as an Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary.

The 8th hole is medium-to- long par 4 with water all down left side.

TPC has 5 different tee’s ranging from just under 6900 yards to 5000 yards. The score card has tee recommendation’s based on your handicap and I definitely would choose the tee’s that best fit you so you can limit frustration and enjoy your round. Although a relatively flat course, many of the greens have considerable drop-offs so a missed shot will have you chipping back on. Strategically located bunkers and water hazards add to the difficulty off the tee and for second shots.
